Name change!

I decide the old blog name was shit so I've decided on a change think of it as a spring clean but in late summer....

Das boot

I recently purchased a shiny new pair of AKU air8000 walking boots for my college course.



They feature Goretex uppers and a stiff Vibram sole they are also handmade in Italy.
I've only took them on one walk but my first impressions are good I walked up to top withens I'd say the walk was about 9 miles in total, the boots stood up to the test well although I must admit that I did feel a bit like a young bamby for the first half a mile or so having not wore walking boots since I was nine.
The socks I used with the boots were a pair of bridgedale summits and these worked well with the boots, the Vibram sole proofed to be extremly grippy even on the greasiest sand stone and my feet were comfortable when I walked in the door, to some it up "three peaks, bring it on!".

Update

Hi, all recently I've been relentlessly applying for jobs, but I managed to get some time of to go kayaking on tuesday, no pics unfortuneately (I want a camera) but I nearly managed to get that illusive 3rd end on my cartwheels.
